OH CRAP IT'S WEDNESDAY

Okay, so I'll admit - this hasn't been my week for being on top of things. I wound up missing my comic for Monday because my RLJ began on Tuesday, and naturally I didn't have any of my syllabi ready because...

Uh...

Reasons. Good ones. Vast ones. So vast I can't list them all here. *cough*

In my defense, I'm not teaching any new classes this semester, so I pretty much just had to alter existing syllabi to new dates (or to three hour sections instead of twice a week). However, I always wind up doing some course revisions because I'm insane, so yaknow. No comic. I still did the terrible Bird joke on Instagram yesterday, though, so HA. JUSTICE. FREEDOM. SOMETHING SOMETHING.

I also did an Etcetera Saturday upload of a picture of Ramona Mourir (or Miranda as some of us know her) that we took a few years ago now, but I never quite edited to my liking. However, I'm more proficient with Photoshop than I was a few years ago, so I'm pretty pleased with how it came out:

Hey Miranda - do more shoots for me. Right now. Let's go.

I really do need to set up my Shoot the Bird Facebook page, which some people liked even though I'm pretty sure it's not even live yet somehow (sorcery!). I kind of want to do a new shoot to kick it off, and then go from there. I've got some ideas already locked (Shae, I hope you know that poorly worded text about a possible author photo shoot was actually a legally binding contract), but really, if I want to, I can actually be incredibly lazy and wait until February. I did that Aphrodite photoshoot with Maggie last year and didn't wind up getting them posted in time for Valentine's Day, so they would be perfect this time around! Maybe I'll do that - laziness, aw yeah! Mother of invention! Or something, I dunno. It's late. I'm tired.

Maggie totally agreed to do another shoot for me because she never actually said no to my request and instead just complained about me being a bully and blah blah blah not hearing no.

Isn't she pretty? Maybe I'll do that. Now, of course, I have an idea to do a whole bunch of pictures with a bunch of my models for different kinds of Valentine's photos, but my problem is that I always have ideas, but then actually getting everything together to carry them out (both in my brain but also in terms of scheduling) is generally nigh on impossible. For some reason, my friends have lives. I really don't understand.

But I do have a lot of other photos I've taken that I need to edit. For example, I have some I took at Dragon*Con this year that I'm pretty sure I never put anywhere.

Like these.

Again, the problem is with the editing! I always want to edit ALL THE PHOTOS completely before I show off one pic, and then when I inevitably get annoyed at the editing process, I wind up not showing anyone anything and sitting on projects for five years (hi, Hellraiser Miranda picture!). But that's my problem in general with most of my crafting stuff - writing included. Anyone else do that? Why do I do that? Am I crazy?

Fast answer yes. Let's just pretend I never asked that.

Oh well. I think that's gonna be it for the night. Sorry for the fairly boring post! I promise next week I'll think up something clever, or try to actually do something. I mean, I wrote about 6,000 words today for my second book, which really needs to end already (I know how to quit you, book - you just KEEP GOING), but other than that I have nothing else to show you right now. I don't even have nail polish on because I accidentally ripped one of my nails in half, and then gave myself a paper cut right behind my thumbail. Yes, they both hurt, and yes, they are really gross looking. Not sharing that. I also could comment on the fact that I really need to stop playing Fallout 3 before bed because it's turning my dreams extremely weird (tunnels - endless tunnels!), but that also kind of runs itself out as a topic before it's even begun.

Bye!
