Podcasts, Kermit, Creeps, and Stabbing Myself with Needles

Hi guys! Look at me - I'm posting on a Wednesday! I should probably stop spending so much time being amazed at myself for when I actually do get around to posting these and just, yaknow, POST THESE.

Like I am right now. Uh. Anyway.

So a few things - first, Tina and I made a NEW PODCAST! YAAAAY! I have another post about this, but basically we were getting lazy with reading Emma, because barf (why did we choose that one, whyyy), but we keep reading other books in the meantime, and figured we may as well work with what we've got, since podcasting is actually pretty fun. So - BIRD BARF! I'm currently attempting to try and figure out RSS feeds for Itunes, but until then it's all up on my Youtube channel.

I feel so randomly fancy for saying I have a Youtube channel. Everyone has a Youtube channel. Shut up, self.

In addition to podcasts, I've been trying to get myself back into a creating mood in general, because I've been sort of mopey and grumpy and not feeling, well, much of anything (except how much I do not want to grade papers). So, I've been watching a video that some kind soul uploaded onto Youtube called The Wonderful World of Jim Henson. It's from a VHS distributed shortly after his death, and it's really wonderful.

I love it. I've watched it so many times, and each time it really makes me want to make things. Today was no exception! However, I did wind up with the song that Kermit hums from this Jack Parr Show clip stuck in my head all day long... Oh well. Could be worse.

Another thing that was really exciting was that my good friend and fellow Creeptopolis Cosplay Creep Maryna was featured in La Vie Siren for her awesome cosplaying!! Click the link for a really neat article.

All of this, needless to say, made me want to actually work on stuff, so I turned my attention to BIRD!!!! Who has.... uh... been living in pieces in my trunk.

Basically, I really wanted to get Bird's head done. Naturally, the primary thing I wound up doing was bleeding all over myself because I kept stabbing myself with the gigantic needle I was using.

Great, right? Ugh. Well, at least I'm working on him, though! I had to do a lot of weird setups and alterations to get him to look more like I wanted, so we're getting there. More photos will come soon.

Alright, that's it for now. Here's to a (mostly bloodless) great week for all of us!!
