Where I spent last Wednesday - Canton, IL!
Happy Wednesday, guys!
So one of the things I find pretty hard (if you haven't figured that out already) is the concept of prioritizing projects. I know some of this is definitely because summer is the time when I do whatever the heck I want, or when I'm supposed to do whatever the heck I want, except for one fatal problem:
Summer is limited, and I got STUFF to do.
I really have been chipping away at a bunch of stuff, though, despite how much I feel like I'm not getting very far. For instance, I finally finished my final edits (FINAL FINAL FINAL NEVER AGAIN) for Dominion Jar, which my lovely test readers read back in 2013 and which my friend Michele completely fucking edited for me, and then I flopped around and didn't edit. Well, now - it's edited! It's done!
Now I just have to decide what the hell I want to do with it.
Meanwhile, I'm approaching 30,000 words in my readable edit of Nothing That is Not, though I'm slightly alarmed by how much more I still have to do. I'd wanted to get it completed in June, but I'm not sure that'll happen - I'm not even halfway done. Meanwhile, I've sort of been scratching at two other stories, though right now this one takes priority.
I'm also working on three short screenplays (don't ask - I'll maybe talk about that later), an idea for a short story, and I've got designs for two new series of swimsuits that I've been playing around with. I also want to start drawing more, and on top of it all, I do have some weird ideas for costumes and a shirt I kind of want to go back to Goodwill and buy because it was super strange and I kind of want to make a super strange dress out of it.
Blah.
Blah.
Instead, I'm going to give you pictures of Canton, IL from when I met up with Dad while he was bike riding through. Yaaay!!
As you can see from my initial picture, Canton isn't exactly in great condition. A lot of the buildings are falling apart, and in some cases they seem to have actually been ripped from one another and partially demolished. The building below still had lots of nails and connectors in it:
Interesting remodeling choice.
But Canton was still really neat to visit, namely because it had some really cool resale shops and a pretty darn funny priest parking sign.
For instance: here are some creepy salt and pepper shakers.
Yep. There was a talking Bill Clinton doll, and I had to talk Dad out of buying an anvil.

"Thou Shalt Not Steal Thy Priest's Parking Space"
Anyway, so there are some weird pictures of Canton, IL! I know the formatting is all screwed up, but whatever. Either way, nothing beats pictures of sarcastic church signs and talking Bill Clintons!
