So I think it's pretty safe to say that I've been more productive (in a creative kind of way; I don't really view doing work work as productive, since it's my job and they pay me for it) in the past two weeks than I have been in years.
The biggest one, of course, is that I finally published Dominion Jar! Doing it on my birthday and during my all-day work day probably wasn't the greatest decision I could have made, but I'm happy I finally did it. Thank you so much to those of you who bought the book!! I'm super excited and nervous to hear what you think, good or bad. I've gotten good comments so far, so that's nice! I'm still going to continue sitting here and wringing my hands until I hear from everyone, though. :D IT'S WHAT I DO, OKAY?
I also finally finished and uploaded "The House", a short film that Tina, Maryna and myself made back in the summer. The voice-over is me, by the way. I hate it (because it's my own voice), but it seems to work for being weird and off-putting, so yaaay! Granted, I always think my voice is kind of weird and off-putting, but then, does anyone actually like recordings of their own voice? Anyway, currently the video is at over 90 views! That is so cool!! So again, thank you to everyone who watched it - we really appreciate it!
Next, The Bird Barf podcast, which is being updated weekly again, also has now been added to Itunes. I didn't realize that you could use Soundcloud to create an RSS feed, but hey - learn something new every day! I think I may have set it up a bit oddly - it's under "Personal Journal" podcasts, for some reason - but whatever! I think it's had, like, two whole views, but I'm happy anyone listens to it! I'm pretty easy to please with this stuff.
And in terms of stuff I can't provide links for, I also finished a script for a short film I want to make for Halloween, sent the script to the people I want to have in the short film, had them agree to film the short film on October 18, did a makeup test for the short film, and began construction of a puppet that I will need for the short film for reasons that I'm totally not going to explain here. You'll just have to wait for Halloween! And, uh, hope that this is a totally logical timeframe that I have constructed for myself...
Unfortunately, now I have to go do normal work stuff. Somehow, though, it's not quite as bad when I feel like I've got other things going on too!
