THE END IS NIGH! THE END IS NIGH!

I'm okay with that, though. I mean, in the sense of this specific, work-related end being nigh. Not, like, the end of the entire world (though honestly, that's how it feels sometimes with all the insane things that keep being done).

But AAAANYhowwww, due to the fact that I currently have a ton of grading to do in order to finish up for the semester, that naturally means I've been spending time I should be using for work thinking about the fun stuff I will be able to do once the end has nighed!

For instance: Bird still needs some wings.

We're currently behind on Bird Barf episodes, pretty much because I've been lacking the ambition to get it together to record one, followed by having to edit it down. Since Tina and I are no longer as local as we used to be, it's far more complicated. For instance - we're still trying to figure out when we're going to record a Bird Barf about Felicia Day's book. We've been figuring this out for about two weeks now. Clearly we're doin' great!

We have been talking about Books to Movies again, and making twelve of them - one per month - augmented with the normal Bird Barf episodes.

I also have another idea for something new called "Bird Barf: Weirder Than You". Basically, it would be quick tellings of strange local stories (one of my favorites being the whole Phantom Kangaroo thing from 1970's Chicago). I'm not really sure how it would work, whether it would be a podcast or video blog/vlog (see, I'm cool!), and who it would involve - myself and Tina again? Bird? Hippo? A voice-over while I just record Sadie sitting around and doing nothing?  I dunno. Something to think about, though! I'll throw it in with the other ideas for more short films, books, seasonal fleece sweaters, and - of course - trying to make my own BURBLE!

He's so handsome!

Unfortunately, I suppose I should just focus on finishing work up for right now. Maybe I'll draw more stripes on Bird's head too, just because.

Poor Bird.
