Heeeey, remember how last week I talked about how I was going to get violin lessons?
Yeah.
However, despite not actually setting up violin lessons, I did manage to learn "Mary Had a Little Lamb" (nothing like a tune with my own name in it), and began to learn part of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star", thanks to my friend Kyle who texted me the notes. He's also supposed to come over Tuesday and "jam", which will probably entail him telling me to stop making the violin sound like it's being murdered and hopefully teach me how to properly do, well, everything.
I'll have fun, but I'm not sure he will.
Anyway, I haven't been doing nothing, thank you very much. I've had to do RLJ stuff, but I've also managed to finish a very short film script I've been sitting on and avoiding (now it needs to snow - COME ON, SNOW. WE JUST TALKED ABOUT HOW USEFUL YOU CURRENTLY ARE TO MY CREATIVE ENDEAVORS), and I spent last weekend working on costumes for C2E2. I'm making progress on the main three, which is great. Liv Moore from iZombie is mostly put together (I'm just waiting on a brain), Jareth the Goblin King is moving right along (trying to tame the wig as we speak), and Professor Plum from Clue is still in pieces, but the pieces are actual pieces and not a whole, uncut piece of fabric - success!
Of course, then - after telling myself I was going to only do three costumes because four is a stupid idea, and after I specifically told Maryna not to let me make a Vanessa Ives costume - I made a Vanessa Ives costume.
In Maryna's defense, I proceeded to not tell her what I was doing. I think even now she has no idea that I've done this.
Anyway, I did take the lazy way out, in that I wound up having the shirt and skirt already, and just had to go ahead and make the jacket. Naturally, I assumed it would be easy. This is because I am an idiot who consistently underestimates absolutely everything, including how much sleep I need per night. Whatever - now I have a neat coat!
Yeah.

Classy bathroom mirror shot! It was 2 a.m., so cutting off at my face was extremely necessary.
And here in my ten dollar Target mirror! The main draw, despite the fact that I spent HOURS on them and they can't even be seen, is the fact that, indeed, there are pockets. I can put my phone in there. And gum.
This'll be great.
