A Real Post This Time

This weather needs to really decide whether or not it wants to freeze us out or bake us when we least expect it. I'm on my third shirt change right now - first because the tank top and cardigan were too cold, then because my sweater was too warm, and now I just keep alternating between putting on and taking off a different cardigan from a different sweater.

I know. Fashion plate stuff right here. My current sweater is pink and has sheep on it, in case you were wondering.

I'm currently trying to slide back into the brain of someone who makes stuff for fun. I've been doing extra work for my RLJ, and it... was frustrating to say the least. I spent most of my time worrying about it for all of February and March, and I still have suspicions that it's going to continue to cause me problems, but I'm paranoid and have already determined to never do this again (and will use this situation as a reason why), so I suppose that counts for something. Game plans - yay.

I've done some nice stuff, though. I did go to C2E2 with Miranda and Maryna, and it was an awful lot of fun. We were joined on and off by friends, but for the most part the three of us were skulking around and being weirdos together and it was a great time. Eventually I may post photos, though I was terrible and didn't take very many. But sewing seems to be something I like doing when I'm freaking out about other things, so I did several projects just to see if I could. Naturally, none of them necessarily worked out for the sizing I intended (that's what I get for ignoring the pattern requirements), but that's the point of testing things (and the point of coupons). I want to remake some of them with different fabrics, so maybe that will go better.

Also, I should really remember to wet down fur before cutting it. You'd think I'd know this by now, but the amount of black fur pieces still clinging to me on a regular basis say otherwise.

I finally started the second round of edits for Nothing that is Not, so that's exciting. It only took me approximately forever. I mean, I always take forever, but this one was written in so many pieces over such a strange stretch of time that it feels even more alarming than usual. Right now I'm still in the safe zone of material written all at once, so we'll see how much swearing I do when I get to the remixed portions...

Also I've taken up making creepy drawings about coffee demons. I'd be prouder of this if I hadn't initially been trying to make something nice. Oh well.

Otherwise, I still have two scripts to write (one to begin, one to complete), a couple of play ideas (why I'm entertaining these I have no idea), and... other stuff I can't remember right now. Either way, I have stuff to do and should probably, you know, stop writing this. For now.

Preferably not for a month, like last time. :D
