Because of the fact that I am spending my weekend grading essays for that RLJ thing I have, I figured
that – since I'm super behind on my frigging blog – I should
write some blog entries in between sets. Not only will I catch up on
missing blogs, but it'll help keep me sane.
....Maybe. Look, I'm promising nothing,
okay? In all reality, we're probably beyond hope.
At the end of semesters, it's usually
up for grabs what I wind up throwing on in the background while I grade. It's never
anything new-ish, since I can't watch something that completely
absorbs my attention or else I don't focus on the papers. Often I'll
do a series rewatch of The Guild,
or I'll ultimately wind up watching a bunch of Jim Henson stuff. This
time, I managed to find some terrible quality versions of The
Jim Henson Hour on Youtube,
which originally aired in 1989. And then, of course, because I have a
great sense of self control, I decided to check on Amazon whether or
not it's available on DVD (it's not) and ultimately wound up cataloging all of the Jim
Henson related books that I do not own. There's one that I do
definitely want, which is a collection of critical essays called The
Wider Worlds of Jim Henson, but since I already have two
other collections of critical essays, I should probably finish
reading those first.
I'm
more looking for that kick to keep me going through grading so that,
when it's done, I can jump into projects that I've been thinking
about. I have a bunch of puppets I want to make, so clearly this is
one of the reasons I've jumped back into all things Henson. I also
kind of want to buy the biography in paperback, since it just came
out and I want to reread it, but that would be largely superfluous
since I own the hardcover.
Clearly
I have issues. But really, that should be a surprise to no one.
HOWEVER
– all of this is currently going to the wayside, because I just
found a place to play Muppetville
online. OOPS. I've already graded ten essays (which took about two
and a half hours), so that means I should play for awhile, right?
Right.
Update: The game file is missing from Muppetville online. WHY.
